STIHL Group turnover grew 6 percent in 2004 to EUR 1.621 billion. This worldwide rise in turnover can be attributed entirely to marked increases in unit sales. Turnover for the year would actually have been 9.3 percent higher had the exchange rates remained unchanged. The number of employees in the STIHL Group grew by 4.1 percent to 7,880 last year.
