The STIHL HLA 56 is the first extended-reach hedge trimmer in the STIHL Lithium-ion COMPACT (AK) System. This hedge trimmer provides homeowners with great versatility by combining the benefits of a battery-powered product with the ability to accomplish difficult trimming tasks. A high cutting speed of 2,800 strokes per minute and droplet-shaped double-sided cutting blades allow for clean and efficient cutting, even when dealing with larger branches. The adjustable head offers a 135° range allowing for cutting angles ranging from -45° to +90°. With detachable shaft for easy transportation and storage.

    The HLA 56 has a locking lever (orange front), ERGO lever (black) and main trigger lever (orange below). The locking lever is self-resetting and prevents unintentional switching on of the device. When the ERGO lever and shift lever are pressed, you can work continuously with ease.
