    FOR FANTASTIC ENGINE POWER WITH LOW MAINTENANCE. The STIHL 4-MIX® engine is a four-stroke engine that does not require any oil circuit components, thanks to refuelling with an oil and gasoline mix. That’s why it’s more compact, more lightweight, and requires less maintenance than conventional four-stroke engines, while at the same time being powerful and offering a comfortable sound pattern. STIHL 4-MIX® engines comply with the European Stage V emissions directive.

    ENSURES LONG CHANGEOVER INTERVALS. Thanks to its long service life, you rarely need to change the easily accessible filter. This saves resources and reduces maintenance effort.
    LONG AIR FILTER SERVICE LIFE
    FOR SAFE WORK. The QuickStop drill brake stops the drill if your earth auger gets stuck in the ground and causes the trigger lever to hit your thigh. The braking device ensures that the engine no longer transmits its force to the drill element, while the engine and drill element remain coupled. This means that you can simply unscrew the jammed drill in an anti-clockwise direction.
    QUICKSTOP DRILL BRAKE
    COMFORTABLE OPERATION. Thanks to the single-handed multi-function handle, you can control your power tool easily and reliably with one hand. Because all relevant control elements are integrated in the handle, it can be operated by both right-handed and left-handed users.

    Professional earth auger with 4-MIX® engine

    The STIHL BT 131 earth auger is a high performance and lightweight tool ideal need for post-hole digging, fence installation, large planting projects, environmental restoration and construction projects. Featuring a powerful, fuel-efficient 4-MIX® engine and a larger fuel tank than previous models, this auger works longer with fewer refuels. It also features a vertical pleated air filter for improved air supply quality and extended service life. Its semi-automatic choke lever enables a simplified starting procedure that reduces the chance of flooding, while the STIHL Quickstop® auger brake is designed to automatically stop the auger bit from turning if it hits a hard underground impediment. With an ergonomic design, the BT 131 delivers control and comfort while reducing fatigue.
