STIHL CONNECTED: DIGITAL SMART PRODUCTS FOR GARDEN WORK AND FLEET MANAGEMENT

With STIHL connected, we offer an easy way to administer, manage, and also maintain your STIHL power tools. Our smart products help you to manage your fleet of power tools on a digital basis.

MANAGE GARDEN POWER TOOLS ON A DIGITAL BASIS WITH STIHL CONNECTED

STIHL connected is a cloud-based system. Get power tool management in your home garden or comprehensive digital fleet management in a professional setting using just a desktop application or mobile app. The data for the connected tools and power tools is sent to the free STIHL connected app, and where applicable to the STIHL connected portal, which is also free of charge. As a result, you always have a view of key information and tasks.

THE BASIS FOR SMART GARDENING: THE SMART CONNECTOR

What do you need to use STIHL smart products? First, you’ll need an internet connection and a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet. The STIHL tool or power tool must also be capable of Bluetooth connections, or be expanded appropriately. For many petrol-driven, electric or cordless devices or tools, you can easily create a Bluetooth interface by attaching the STIHL Smart Connector to the appropriate location on the power tool. This is the first step in making the use of our smart product solutions. Once correctly attached to the device or power tool, the Smart Connector collects, for example, operational hours and other power tool data while the machine is running. It stores the data and, when there is an active connection, wirelessly transfers it to your smartphone or tablet.
The Smart Connector offers many new functions and digital services. It is the basis for both power tool management in your home garden with the STIHL connected app, and for professional machine fleet management using the STIHL connected portal. It can even be attached to suitable power tools from other manufacturers.

AN OVERVIEW OF USEFUL TIPS AND EVERYTHING ELSE – THANKS TO THE STIHL CONNECTED APP

Private users only need a Bluetooth-enabled STIHL power tool and the STIHL connected app to get started with smart gardening.

You can access power tool data on a mobile basis via the app. The STIHL connected app is also available round-the-clock with valuable tips and helpful tools on the subjects of gardening and power tool maintenance. For example, if you need to refuel your petrol power tools, a mixture calculator shows the optimum ratio of petrol to oil. Battery conditions as well as maintenance appointments no longer need to be viewed individually for each power tool as you can transfer the operating data for your tools into the app via Bluetooth with the STIHL Smart Connector. If maintenance is due, you can simply contact your STIHL dealer directly from the app. We have made the STIHL connected App available for free download from the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS.

INTELLIGENT FLEET MANAGEMENT WITH THE STIHL CONNECTED PORTAL

The STIHL connected portal is tailored to the particular demands of professional users with respect to fleet management: Where are your chainsaws currently in use? When does your new clearing saw need to have maintenance performed for the first time? Retaining an overview is particularly crucial when it comes to large-scale orders. With STIHL connected, you can always see the status and location of your power tools on the screen. All the operating data of your machines is transferred into the STIHL connected app via Bluetooth with the aid of the STIHL Smart Connector, and then onward into the STIHL cloud. This means that all of the power tool data is also available in the desktop application: the STIHL connected portal. You can send maintenance requests to your dealer directly from the system. Our AR 2000 L and AR 3000 L backpack batteries can also be managed on a direct and digital basis: the charging status, duration of use, and serial number are displayed in the STIHL connected App and on the STIHL connected Portal. The Bluetooth interface needed for this is already integrated on delivery.
