Battery earth auger device BTA 140: with 3 operating modes for versatile professional applications

The STIHL BTA 140 battery earth auger device from the STIHL AP system can be used to drill holes up to 300 mm in diameter. This makes the STIHL BTA 140 ideal for professional applications in horticulture and landscaping, forestry, agriculture, and construction. The battery earth auger device allows you to drive posts into the ground quickly and efficiently, dig planting holes and drainage shafts, or lay small to medium-sized foundations. The earth auger’s sharp drill bits and spindles with cutting blades efficiently penetrate even stony surfaces.

The powerful EC motor operates almost wear-free. It is characterised by smooth running as well as low vibration. Thanks to its quiet operation you do not need to wear hearing protection while working with the power tool.

The STIHL BTA 140 is designed as a one-man tool. The good balance and the close-to-body drilling axis enable comfortable, ergonomic and effortless work. The battery earth auger device has 3 operating modes: slow for easy, low-kickback work, fast for challenging ground conditions and reverse to free jammed drill bits. The desired working mode is activated on the control handle and shown in the integrated display.

Thanks to the large, comfortably fitting cushion, the earth auger device can be guided smoothly and precisely. If a blockage occurs while working with the STIHL BTA 140, the STIHL QuickStop system automatically detects the twisting and stops the drilling process. You can resume work immediately by reactivating the earth auger device using the control handle. Thanks to the intelligent transport bracket, you can store the earth auger device in a space-saving way while also protecting the QuickStop system from impacts.
