FOR EASY OPERATION. The housing is equipped with a touchbutton switch for easy switching on and off.
PREVENTS INADVERTENT START-UP. The safety lock is integrated into the opening mechanism of the garden shredder. As soon as you open the closing screws of the power tool, the safety switch is activated and the power flow is interrupted. This prevents the power tool from starting unintentionally during maintenance work or blade changeover, for example.

The STIHL GHE 250 electric garden shredder is ideal for domestic garden maintenance and professional landscape maintenance if you want to regularly shred mixed cuttings from soft plant waste and hard materials such as twigs and branches.
The powerful electric motor showcases its strength when shredding larger quantities of cuttings. The cuttings are conveniently fed in via the noise-insulated filling hopper, where they are drawn in by the blade unit with minimal kickback. The STIHL GHE 250 can also comfortably take in larger quantities when shredding. The large, inclined filling hopper easily shreds branches and twigs up to 30 mm thick. The integrated splash guard prevents particles from flying around, while the sandwich-type blade system of the electric shredder efficiently shreds even thicker branches into fine chippings. These shredded chippings become valuable garden waste that you can use for subsequent composting. The rich fertiliser produced in this way is ideal for your entire garden.
The shredder can be operated intuitively using the membrane switch integrated into the housing. The wide wheelbase with transport wheels means you can easily move the electric shredder to the next location for use. The robust 50-litre STIHL AHB 050 shredder container is optionally available and can be used to collect shredded material directly underneath the STIHL GHE 250. The electromagnetic safety lock prevents automatic start-up during maintenance work or blade changes.
