To facilitate precise handling, the battery-powered garden pruner has an ergonomically shaped operating handle with hand guard and an upper grip point for the second hand. This is shaped in such a way as to prevent slipping as much as possible. The claw-shaped deflector mechanism attached to the front also visually and haptically separates the upper grip area from the cutting attachment. Further useful features of the GTA 40 include the mechanical operating system with rocker on both sides, variable chain speed, sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioning and LED charge-level indicator.
